Women Who Worship
The Renewed Woman is a woman who worships God, her Father unashamedly. In the season that I am in, worship has truly been my weapon (Psalms 149:6). When I was scared, lonely and just confused, I worshiped. When I had glimpses of joy and sunshine, I worshipped. I worshipped when days were good and when moments were trying. I learned that God is good even when things in life are not.
In those moments of worship I was privy to God in a new way. I got to know Him as MY Father, He comforted me in ways I didn't know I needed. I learned to lean on God and to rest in His arms, His presence at all times. I learned that when ALL else fails that God will not. Worship helped me through the wilderness. Worship keeps me grounded when it feels like I am on the mountain top. Worship is how I show God my love, my thanks, my surrender because even when I don't feel like it I choose to worship.
Worshipping God starts in the heart, we worship all throughout the day by ourselves and also in community. On May 29th women came together to worship God collectively. We gathered at Open Cross prayer Park and just walked around the park or laid out in the grass or their stadium seats and worshipped. It felt like we were in our own experiences collectively. Each woman cried out to God in their own space but together. Being vulnerable like that but in community was special.
