Do you all remember the song Mary Mary sang with the lyrics: I just can’t give up now, I’ve come too far from where I started from. Nobody told me the road would be easy and I don’t believe he’s brought me this far to leave me.

Those lyrics will preach when you find yourself doing the work of the father and opposition is doing it’s best to bring down. Notice my intentional wording because it can’t stop you. Only you can decide what you will do next. “Do I continue on this journey of the unknown, following my God’s instructions?” Or will allow fear, doubt, confusion, loneliness etc to shake me up and bring my belief into question?

How many of you struggle with saying “i don’t know”? You feel that you have to have an answer or solution to some things or even to ALL things. You’ve been calling all the shots, nothing would get done if you didn’t do it. Applied pressure causing you to make snap decisions and then turmoil making you realize it was the wrong decision. After this cycle plays itself out you realize you really don’t know and need help. Well wouldn’t you know it, God already sent us a helper. (John 15:26-27) Now that we are in Christ and we have given our Yes to His way in and through our lives, there lies uncertainty.

Have you been feeling anxious lately?

As we approach the end of the year, we approach deadlines, project endings, and for some the realization that the goals we made at the beginning of the year are still unmet.

Instead of focusing on what you did not complete I want you to reflect on what you have completed. More than that, focus on what God has done in your life. You may have to take some time and really go back and reflect on each month, but I guarantee you that God has been working in you and through you this year.

After your reflection, sit down and ask the Lord what He wants you to focus on the rest of this year. For some it may be to finish the book that He put in you, for some it may be to apply for a new job, others register for…
